Hyper Tokens beginner guide
How it works in plain English
Hyper Tokens are shares in Ensemble vaults. Buying mints shares; selling redeems shares. NAV (net asset value) is the value of a share based on the vault's assets. Quotes can change before a transaction finishes. Cross-chain routes use Relay or LI.FI to move or swap funds, then mint shares on HyperEVM. A sale redeems to USDC before any onward route.
A–Z: start with a wallet
Install MetaMask or Rabby for EVM networks, or Phantom for Solana, from the wallet's official website or your device's app store. Check the publisher. Create a wallet and keep its recovery phrase offline and private. Never paste a recovery phrase, password or private key into this site, chat or a report. A wallet address is public; sharing it can connect your activity to your identity.
Get funds onto HyperEVM
HyperEVM uses HYPE for gas and USDC for vault purchases. Use a supported exchange withdrawal or bridge, carefully checking the destination network and token. HyperEVM and HyperCore are different destinations. Start with a small transfer and check arrival in your wallet. Keep spare HYPE for approvals and trades; spending your entire balance can leave you unable to sell. You can also buy from another supported chain using the site's cross-chain route. Do not send funds directly to a vault address.
Connect
Open hypertokens.io and choose Connect wallet. Select your wallet, review the site address and approve the connection. A connection alone does not transfer money. For WalletConnect, scan the QR code using your wallet or open its mobile link. On a phone, try the wallet's in-app browser. Phantom connects as both Solana and EVM. Your tokens land in its EVM account on HyperEVM; see and sell them on the Portfolio page. Check every account and destination address shown.
Buy on HyperEVM
Choose a token such as iVOL or BULL, select Buy, HyperEVM and USDC, and enter at least 10 USDC. The minimum is 10 USDC per buy on every route, so a thin pool or routing fees can require a higher amount. Review estimated shares, minimum output, fees and destination. Keep HYPE for gas. Approve USDC if asked, then confirm the purchase in your wallet. Approval and purchase may be separate confirmations. Wait for completion and check your balance and transaction receipt.
Sell with MAX
Choose your token, select Sell and press MAX to select your available shares. Select the output asset and chain, review the quote and confirm each wallet request. MAX refers to shares, not your gas balance. A vault may limit redemptions when liquidity is unavailable; a small remainder can also reflect rounding. Check both the source receipt and destination balance before retrying.
Cross-chain buys and sells
For Arbitrum, Base or Ethereum, hold the selected source asset plus native ETH for gas on that chain. Select that source chain in Buy. For Solana, connect Phantom and retain SOL for gas. Review the actual source account, destination account, bridge fees and expected output. Relay or LI.FI routes funds to USDC on HyperEVM and the vault mints shares. Follow route status until all steps finish; a source confirmation does not mean the destination is finished. To sell out, select Arbitrum or Solana as the destination and verify the receiving address and asset. Solana and EVM address formats differ. Route availability varies; do not improvise a transfer if no quote is offered.
Read a token page and chart
The token page shows direction, approximate leverage, NAV, balances and trading controls. A chart describes past NAV samples, not a forecast. Ranges are 1D, 1W (default), 3M and 1Y. Charts show only recorded on-chain NAV. A reserved “Since launch” note appears when history is shorter than the range. Scrolling over the chart scrolls the page; chart pan and zoom are disabled, while crosshair hover is kept. A plain Basket line names assets without weights. “What’s inside” shows each coin’s own real Hyperliquid candles and current mid over the same range, not a basket index; inverse tokens say “Token moves opposite these.” Candles need enough recorded samples, so a new token may show a line instead. TVL is total vault assets, not money guaranteed available to redeem immediately. Check quote freshness and any trading-paused notice.
Fees and minimum output
Every buy and sell through the pool pays a 1% pool fee. If the pool is thin, the vault mints at 0.1% or redeems at 0.3% instead. Bridge costs and gas are in the quote. The 1% pool fee goes to the pool's liquidity provider, which is us (Hyper Tokens). There is no other site fee. The buy box shows your price next to NAV and an all-in cost that adds up every deduction: route fee, bridge, the gap between pool price and NAV, slippage and gas. rHYPURR uses a separate pool with a 1% fee. Slippage is the allowed price move, not a separate fee. A failed transaction can still cost gas.
Understand leverage before trading
You can lose money, including your entire position. Leverage magnifies adverse moves. Rebalancing about every 4 hours or after a 10% move, plus compounding, makes results depend on the path prices take: alternating rises and falls can erode value even when the underlying ends near its starting price. Holding longer does not guarantee recovery. There are vault, liquidity, bridge, oracle and smart-contract risks. No return is guaranteed. This guide is educational and is not financial advice. Only test with an amount you can afford to lose.
Troubleshooting
Stuck on “Working...”?: check the wallet for an outstanding confirmation, the transaction explorer and the route status link. Record the hash and time. Do not repeatedly submit while a transaction is pending. If nothing progresses, submit a report.
Wallet says “likely to fail”?: do not force it through. Check gas, balance, the 10 USDC minimum and a fresh quote.
Wrong network?: use the wallet's requested network switch and verify the selected source chain. Never approve an unexpected network or address.
Not enough HYPE for gas?: obtain HYPE on HyperEVM and leave a reserve. ETH or SOL on a different network cannot pay HyperEVM gas.
Mobile connection fails?: try the wallet's in-app browser, reconnect, and check pending requests. Report the phone, operating system, wallet version and chain. Never include recovery material in screenshots.
